Happy Holidays! This is my first real attempt to create and maintain a blog. I’ve tried before but never really kept up with it. This is first and foremost, a forum to connect with my students, past and present, and keep them up to date on my thoughts about class, what we are working on and what I’m still learning about art myself.
For those new to Mrs. A, I teach 7th and 8th grade art, both beginning level and advanced. I am also a singer in a symphonic orchestra chorus as well as a student of yoga. I have two dogs, one cat and a husband. I do freelance graphic design work, love to eat sugary treats and read. My dislikes are feeling stressed, getting behind and students who talk too loudly in class and when they call me “MISS”!
I am hoping this blog will be read by many of my students. I am hoping to get a grant to travel abroad and study art this summer so hopefully there will be lots of posts and pictures coming soon!
In the meantime, I hope everyone is preparing for the holiday season. Stay warm and enjoy some well-deserved time away from school!
